Production Reflection 4
This week i have been going to lesson and straight to editing, i have been staying after school to make sure all the editing was done for live day, i edited the run down order, the music videos, interviews and dance competition as these are the features which will be shown on live day so i have been working really hard on this to get it done.
As i have been going back after school to complete my role in editing the pre-recordings it helped me on live day as i was well prepared as i worked a lot just to make sure when it comes to the live day i have everything set and ready to go.
I could had recorded more people for the interviews as we only had males for feedback, where as if i had recorded more females we would of had both opinions from each gender which would appeal to the audience more, so if i could change anything it would be the people i interviewed.
I worked well with the graphics designer, sound mixer, vision operator and director as we was the ones working in a small room, i listened to Chloe who was director who told me when to play my pre-recordings and everyone else worked with me in the room, as soon as i showed the pre-recordings the sound operator played the sound and the vision operator changed the camera to show my pre-recordings and the graphics designer displayed their graphics to explain what was going on.
The first couple of runs through i don't think i was performing my best, i wasn't really listening to Chloe when to play the pre-recordings but after those runs through i began to focus more and try much more harder, this made me listen to Chloe when i should play the recordings, and once i did this i got the hang of it and in the final run i think i did very well in showing the pre-recordings at the correct times and at the end it looked smooth so at the end of the day i think i did well it just took me time to kick in.

Production Meeting Reflection - 3
Summaries the duties you performed this week within your role - In my role i had to complete the treatment where i talk about the features that will be involved on the show i planned them out where and when i will record them, we have worked out who will be involved outside of school/class for the pre-recording.
What has been successful this week? - This week i have completed all my recordings and i am ready to continue editing, as i had everyone i needed before hand i was well prepared and managed to get it done with ease, the people who were chosen made it a lot easier as they understood i was not playing around and wanted to get this done so we managed to get it done in a short amount of time
What do you need to change or develop and why? - The people we chose for the pre-recording just because they might not want to be on camera which means we may need to change the treatment as the dates would have to be moved and we would need to change the people who would be in it. Edit on - no one was needed to be changed everyone worked very well and we managed to get it all done
What do you intend to do next week? - Next week i am planning to get all the pre-recording done which will be Omar's History of Hip-Hop, Dance competition and the interviews on the street which me and Kori will do, we plan to get it done early next week maybe Monday - Wednesday which gives us Thursday - Friday to edit which we want everything to be complete as we have a big role and without us their will be no pre-recordings shown during the show
How did you work with your hierarchical peers this week? Was it effective? - I worked with the director who was Chloe as she told me what features she wanted in the show and than i went off the record it, i also worked with the presenter to get them to help with the interviews which were taken place on the streets.
Production Meeting 2
This week i have been working on the treatment where i will be talking about the 3 features which will be shown during pre-recording when the shows happens, these 3 features will have to be all filmed by me as they are pre-recordings that will be show on the show.
I was absent during this production meeting but what i would of said is that i have been working on the times and locations of which i will be recording i would also tell them what features are going to be shown such as Omars history of hip-hop, dance competition and the interviews on the streets.
The things that have been successful is that we managed to get everyone to help out for the pre-recordings so we wont have to leave it last minute to find someone to help us for it, i had asked friends outside of school if they would help out and they said yes which is helpful for me has i can arrange times with them to get the pre-recordings done.
If someone is not available i had people ready on standby to replace people who would not be able to make it, so wouldn't really need to change anything unless my standby people were not able to make it as well which would leave me unprepared but so far no one has backed out.
Next week i intend to complete all of the pre-recordings and begin to edit, this shouldn't take me long to record as i have everyone ready to be recorded.
I worked with the director and presenters as we discussed when we will record as the presenters will ask questions to the people being interviewed and i will record it and we worked with the director to make sure if the questions and people are suitable.

Production Meeting 1
The way we set up the meeting was we put a bunch of tables into a rectangle shape as if we were actually at a meeting and we all sat around it and by setting up this way we was all able to see each other and talk directly to each other rather than someone talking all the way at the back of the classroom and people sitting at the front not able to hear.
The group responded to my idea in different ways because there were points that they liked and points they didn't like but i was fine with this as i just wanted to give the group ideas such as decorating the room with music related pictures and such to catch the audience telling them yes this is a music show where they talk about the new music videos and such, they did not like the name and to be honest neither did i so i was fine with this, the name i had chosen was BeatMix, i voted for Yannick's because i liked all his ideas that he came up with because they were different to other peoples and the way he presented was also catching so Yannick won my vote.
Yannick's idea relates to the brief because he had competitions which the audience can be involved in, their is also 15 minutes of live content, 2 minutes of adverts and the target audience was also aimed towards 14-20 which was the briefs requirements.
My areas for improvement would be the actual name of the song because it wasn't very creative and i could of also worked on a unique competition idea which is different to other shows, and i could have worked harder and be more creative on my logo, so there is a lot which i could have worked harder on.
Ideas from other people that i would put together was Chloe's competitions has i thought they were different from other peoples and this would make it more entertaining for the audience and the name that i chose was Yannick's because the name was very catching "Feel The Music" with interviews on the streets as i feel like you do not see interviews on the streets come up as often so it would be nice to put it into our show.

Treatments for Pre-Recorded Features
What is the feature about?
|
How will it be put together?
|
Who will be required for it from in and outside the team?
|
Where will it be filmed?
|
When will it be filmed and edited?
|
Dance Competition –
A competition for the audience that they send in that will be shown
on the show
|
This will be filmed with people from our school so we don’t have to
ask random people outside of school, and then we will record them in the
dance competition
|
We will need Kimberly and then we will need Jordan Fakile in order to
perform a dance competition, as they are both outside the team this will be
easy to record as we can do it during school times
|
This will be filmed outside of school on the streets near school so
therefore we don’t have to travel far and waste time on recording them
dancing
|
This will be filmed on the of
June as we are behind on time
|
Interview on the streets
In the interview – the guests will be (Ross)and (Lauren) the
interviewer will be Connor
|
This will be filmed around school outside so it looks more
realistic as we will be using people
we know but they will pretend to be random people off the street
|
For the interviews I will need (Ross) and (Lauren) as they will be
acting as random people who will be asked questions about the music video
|
This will be shot outside of school just outside on the streets in
different locations
|
This will be filmed during this week when everyone is free 6-7 of June
|
History of Hip-Hop – Omar will talk about the most popular songs of
hip-hop in history where he will tell the audience about it
Omars 5 fav hip hop videos ever
( get clips ) couple of sentences on each videos.
|
Omar will be sat down talking to the camera about the history of
hip-hop most likely in front of a green screen where we can add things to the
background
|
For this we will need Omar as he is the one who knows everything
about hip-hop and he loves it so he will have more passion for it
|
This will be filmed somewhere in the music department as the subject
has got something to do with music so it would make sense
|
This will have to be filmed this week as time is short so 3-5 of June
